Handheld Kaleidoscope Prism Filter

This is the same glass as the popular 77mm kaleidoscope screw-in filter, but in a handheld format. Perfect for photographers in a fast moving environment (like a wedding) who don't have the time to be putting screw-on filters onto their lens.

With this being handheld, it offers much more flexibility in terms of how you can use the effect compared to the screw-in version. You can angle it compared to the lens, move it around the lens to shift the centre point of the reflections, and increase the distance between the filter and lens to get more of a kaleidoscope effect when using smaller lenses. 

As the filter has a solid metal ring around it, you do need to consider what kind of lens is appropriate for this kind of filter. For example, on a lens with piece of front glass that's more than 77mm wide it's possible that black ring of metal is going to show up in your images. Similarly, if you're using a super-wide focal length you might get some vignetting too. The sweet spot for this kind of filter is a compact lens at a focal length of 35mm or more, it will give you plenty of options to use the filter without feeling restricted by the metal ring around the glass.
