These are the recommendations from Griffon for use of the Cheese filter:

1. Using a wide aperture is best, usually f1.8 or wider, try not to go narrower than f2.5
2. The best focal length is between 24mm and 85mm
3. The glow effect works best on artificial light

These suggestions are camera and situation dependent, so don't feel too constrained by what Griffon recommend, but it is important to be aware of when you should and shouldn't expect the effect to work.

This is an 82mm filter, if your lens isn't that size then don't worry, you can use a step ring to adapt it to your lens. Be aware that if using a step down ring you are likely to get vignetting on your image.
