How strong is the strap?

I was able to carefully lift 10kg with the strap. Once I started to give it a shake and bounce it around a bit the string loop was pulled out of the strap, so I would regard 10kg as being too much weight for it to bear. Of course, most people using a strap like this are unlikely to use it with a camera that weighs more than 1kg, so in terms of functionality it's more than strong enough for the vast majority of cameras.
