  • Standard tripod mount thread on the handle.

Tips for use

  • As the filter has a 30mm wide flat centre section for you to shoot through, keep that in mind for the size of lens that will be appropriate for use with this filter. If the front element of your lens is small then you are going to get a limited amount of the effect in your image, especially when working with longer focal length. This filter is more suitable for larger sized lenses.
  • There's no hard rules when it comes to creative prism filters, if you're happy with the images, then you're probably doing it right!
  • Generally speaking, people usually work at wider apertures (f2.8 and similar) when using a filter like this as it smooths out the transition from the "normal" part of the image to the warped section. Wider apertures are also useful for reducing the likelihood of seeing the thick, flat edge of the glass when shooting through the filter.
  • Thick glass like this can confuse AF systems. Either set an AF point on your camera and work around that, or compose your photo and half-press the shutter then quickly put the filter in front of the lens before taking the shot. Always try to focus through the flat part of the filter, if you use the angled surface it's going to be much harder work.
  • Expect blurring and chromatic aberration from the angled part of the filter, it's meant to happen, embrace it!
