For cameras with a flat, rectangular strap slot built into the side of the camera body.

The strap threads directly through the slot, so no split ring is needed. This style is common on many DSLR cameras and some larger mirrorless bodies.

Found on: most Canon; entry- and mid-level Nikon; Fujifilm X-H2/2S, X-M5, X-E4, GFX 50S (connect strap to Fuji-supplied attachment clips), X-T100, X-A Series; vintage Rolleiflex. Also known as slotted or rectangular mount.

Compatible: Flat Mount F1 straps

Not Compatible: Lug Mount F1 Straps, F1Ultralight, W2

For cameras with a small round strap lug, usually used with a split ring.

This style is common on many rangefinder-style cameras, compact mirrorless cameras, Fujifilm X-series bodies, Leica-style cameras and 35mm film cameras.
