This camera strap has been tested to hold 10kg without any issues, but on a 1.1cm wide camera strap I don't recommend it for heavy camera setups. It's really nicely suited to lightweight mirrorless cameras and especially rangefinder-style cameras like Fujifilm's X100 range.

Ring connections tend to be a fairly universal fit, so if your camera has lugs to connect the camera strap, you should be fine with the split rings on this camera strap. It is unlikely that the rings will fit onto a flat mount camera or a camera with a recessed flat mount. Sometimes you can force the strap onto a flat mount, but then it doesn't sit well on the camera and looks odd, so I don't recommend this strap if you have a flat mount.
