Tips for use

• There's no hard rules when it comes to creative prism filters, if you're happy with the images, then you're probably doing it right!
• Generally speaking, people usually work at wider apertures (f2.8 and similar) when using a filter like this as it smooths out the transition from the "normal" part of the image to the kaleidoscope sections. Again, do what you want and what you think looks good for your particular composition.
• Thick glass like this can confuse AF systems, so in my opinion you should compose your image as you'd like it, and then slip the filter in the frame at the last second after you've locked your AF point. Alternately, set your AF point/area to the opposite side of the frame to the hand you're holding the filter in and then you just keep your subject on that side and hold the filter in front of the other side of the composition.
