Red Vegan Leather Camera Strap - Lug Mount

This strap isn’t just for vegans; it’s perfect for action photographers, beach shooters, or anyone that wants a minimal camera strap in a fun, vibrant colour. 

• Each strap is handmade right here at Rigu’s workshop in the Lake District. 
• Our vegan leather is produced in the USA. It is a coated webbing that is very durable, waterproof, easy to clean, and requires no maintenance.
• These straps are strong! The vegan leather itself can take over 200kg before failure, and the rivets have been tested to over 70kg before shearing. The split rings are good up to 20kg before they will deform. With this width (12mm) of strap it’s recommended not to go above a 2kg camera setup purely for comfort reasons.
• Available in 100cm or 120cm lengths. 100cm is typically worn around the neck, whereas the 120cm fits most people cross-body. Custom lengths available, see below for details.
• Designed specifically for ring/lug mount cameras, our straps may not be compatible with flat connections. Unsure if this strap is right for you? Get in touch!
• Don't want the split rings touching the camera body? Some rubber lug bumpers will help with that.

What cameras is this vegan strap suitable for?

Being 12mm wide, this strap is recommended for smaller cameras and lightweight setups. To maintain a comfortable experience, I'd recommend not going over 1.5-2kg for your camera body and lens, but everyone has a different definition of "comfortable" so you may be happy to carry more on the strap.

100cm and 120cm length straps cover most people's needs, but if you want somethingat a different length, we're happy to produce custom length vegan camera straps. Do I need to maintain this vegan leather?

No! Our vegan leather is an extremely durable plasticised webbing that requires no maintenance. If it gets cold it can be a little stiff, but will softer up again when being worn.

Is this strap strong enough for my camera?

Making sure this strap is strong and long-lasting was one of my primary aims when designing the product. That's what it's double riveted, and why it's kept simple and minimal; less components means less to break. The vegan leather manufacturer has tested their product to over 100kg before it snaps. In my own testing of the components, the rivets sheared when lifting 70kg of lead weights, and the split rings came apart at 20kg.
