Split Aura filter by Spektrem Effects

The Aura filter originally designed by Spektrem Effects has been really popular since it's introduction in 2021. This split Aura filter cuts the halo in half, giving you a whole new way to draw focus towards your subject and create unpredictable and borderline-magical flares and rounded streaks of light in your images.

• Due to the protruding front of the glass you cannot stack a filter in front of the split aura filter.

This filter is relatively easy to get to grips with and start producing images that you love. Thick glass filters (especially ones with angles and curves to them) can trip up the AF on your camera, so I recommend offsetting your AF point to the open part of the frame where there's no glass. Much like the full Aura filter this one is most effective when working with different colours and points of light to give you the distinct halo effect.

For example, on a longer focal length with a 49mm filter thread lens the "normal" section of the image is going to be larger than in the sample photos with less warping. This can be good or bad depending on the kind of shots you want to take, but mostly I want you to be aware that the physical size of the lens can have an impact just as much as the focal length.
